The high shutterspeed is because I use my rig handheld, I do not use tripod or monopod, justhandheld shoots.

I'm very impressed with all of your 400mm 5.6 photos. I'm also impressed with such high ISO. I use a 5D MK II and I make large prints (17x25) so noise is a concern but so is detail. I assume that you did all your shots using a tripod and good ballhead or a gimbal but why such high shutter speeds?
