The soldier killed was my buddy Rhaj, shot during foolish gun play by his best friend. We watched in stunned disbelief as his life passed away and I shall never forget it. I'm still a gun owner but as you might imagine I am absolutely unforgiving of any carelessness with them. This incident affected many lives in 3rd Platoon, Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 505th Infantry Regiment (our platoon's full regimental title, usually abbreviated "3 Plt B-2/505") and as we all went our various ways I know we all still think of Rhaj often.
