A Short Story of Creation
("Starring" the Sun, the Earth and the Moon)

August 18, 2014

Once upon a time a male being traveled to a dark area of the universe and brought with him a bright light. In another part of the universe, a female being saw this bright light and brought with her a womb for creation and a body for growth. When these two beings met, they fell in love and something new was created from their union. The male being became brighter, and the female being became larger and more full of life. And from this experience, a new child was born between them.

Being the proud new parents that they were, the father and the mother did their best to create a proper environment for their child so that it could learn and grow from the many choices that it made in life. Like other parents, the father was sometimes seen in the light, and he was sometimes in the dark. The mother was also sometimes seen in the light, and sometimes seen in the dark.

As their child matured, it moved through many different "phases" in its life. Similar to its parents, it was sometimes filled with much light, while other times it was filled with much darkness. Sometimes the child made good choices, while other times the child made bad choices. However, from this freedom of choice (and expression of will) the child learned a great deal about itself and the universe around it. And through these experiences, the child grew up to become a responsible and independent adult.

There were certain times, however, when the child appeared to block the light of its parents. And there were other times when the child appeared to reflect the light of its parents back upon them. In this way, the mother and the father learned a great deal from each other and also grew from the many wonderful (and sometimes challenging) experiences with their child.

Eventually the child moved away from its parents space and became a new light in a different part of the universe. Now, the original parents sit together in their own space and watch the night sky as the light from their son/daughter returns back to them in much the same way that they gave to him/her their light, their nurturing and their wisdom.

As above, so below

Touched by the Sun
(Carly Simon)

This song reminds me of the story of Sophia in Gnostic cosmology. There are many different variations and interpretations of this story, however it basically revolves around the idea (and the dilemma) of how to balance the "Blindness" of our passions and desires, with the potential "Light" of our wisdom and understanding.

Our passions and desires could be compared to the use of fire here on earth. When fire is used in a wise and responsible manner, it can provide us with energy, light and warmth. However, when fire is used in a blind or irresponsible manner, it can destroy us (and the world around us).

Symbolically, the sun represents knowledge, awareness and understanding. At its most basic level, a star is just a huge ball of fire. If the energy contained within our star was unleashed without the proper knowledge and understanding, it could easily destroy everything that surrounds it. However, when that energy is released with temperance and understanding, it can help to create life and to support life.

Sophia is said to represent "wisdom". However, wisdom cannot exist without knowledge, awareness and understanding (light). When knowledge, awareness and understanding are combined together, they create synergy and balance (completeness), which, in turn, leads to the realization of true Wisdom (Light).

The same "fire" and potential that exists within the sun, also exists within all of us. We can choose to nurture and release that energy in such a way that it brings more light and warmth into the world. Or, we can allow that energy to grow (or distort) in such a way that it creates chaos and destruction when it is unleashed.

Could it be that this is one of the main lessons of our experience here on earth? In other words, how can we become a "star" (i.e. bring light into this world) without burning out (destroying ourselves) or going supernova (destroying others) in the process?

Lady
(Styx)

Deep within the human psyche (and within the collective unconscious) there exists a nagging feeling that there is something missing or incomplete in our lives. As a result of this feeling, people endlessly search for all kinds of ways to try and fill this void (often becoming even more lost and fragmented in their quest for fulfillment).

This world offers many things to help us fill the void (consumer-ism, material-ism, technology-ism, distraction-ism, celebrity-ism, govern-ism, religion-ism, etc). However, in the end, these things are really just quick "fixes" and fleeting illusions.

What is it that is missing? I would suggest that it is Love. I don't mean just romantic love, but the kind of Love that comes from being truly connected to everything...to ourselves, to others around us, to nature, to the planet, to the sun, to the stars...and to all of Creation.

Stones
(Neil Diamond)

Finding Love is in many ways about rediscovery, remembering, and reintegration. It's about reconnecting with ourselves and with the world that surrounds us. It's about (re)creating true synergy once again between the light and the dark, the male and the female, the above and the below, the inner and the outer, the right and the left...and the people and the planet.

What can help to bring light back into the darkness of forgetfulness? Answer: The polarity of two seeing through the Wisdom of One (i.e. seeing as both one and One).

Footnote I

There is a distorted (dark) aspect of this concept as well. This can be clearly seen in all of the craziness and chaos that is occurring in the world right now. Rather than creating (or reestablishing) a natural synergy between polarities, what we see instead is an agenda to try and corrupt and invert natural synergies through the promotion of such things as transhumanism, transgenderism, transcreationism (GMOs), transnationalism, etc. Manufactured division is being employed on all fronts right now to try and drive people away from natural organic forms of unity (and natural forms of diversity), and herd them towards more artificial and corrupted (manufactured) forms of "unification" that support various agendas of control via unnatural forms of homogenization, conformity and/or pacification.

Footnote II
(in relation to transhuman-ism, transgender-ism and transcreation-ism)

I am all for freedom of choice and freewill (including sexual preference) when it is truly a result of personal choice (as opposed to "choice" resulting from a directed agenda) and when it is done within the framework of true morality (i.e. do no harm to yourself, do no harm to others, treat others as though you would like to be treated, and do not treat others as though you do not want to be treated).

How much of what we choose to do today is actually based on individual choice vs. something that is a result of psychological programming/conditioning, peer pressure, and/or chemical and electromagnetic manipulation? For example we are bombarded with many different forms of psychological programming every single day via TV, music, radio, newspapers, internet, video games, etc. These "programs" are "streamed" at us and "beamed" at us continuously because we learn by repetition. People tend to follow what is popular, what is trending and what is comfortable to them (i.e. what is familiar to them based on what they are exposed to).

We are also bombarded by a multitude of chemicals in our environment every day (including hormone-mimicking chemicals and endocrine-disrupting chemicals such as BPA) that can alter our minds and our bodies in some pretty significant ways. In addition, we are bathed in artificial electromagnetic radiation almost everywhere we go today which can also have a significant impact on our bodies and our minds.

The question is, how much of this is "accidental" (via carelessness, corruption and/or profit motives), and how much of it is intentional social engineering?
