Very noir - high noon in the afternoon - it was a dark and stormy day - :-) This is a wonderful, edgy capture and I like the way the slight OOF adds to the atmosphere.

Brent the hazy shadows and the hair hallo do it.

I think the perfectly captured shadows make this photo. Excellent timing on this shot.

I haven't try this yet. Night looking picture in day light. It looks very nice, Brent. I believe color version is equal interesting.

This has everything a great photo should have. Lighting, subject, mood, and focus have all come together. An all-around winner.

Brent - This is a nice capture on so many level. Lighting is excellent - I like the "backlight halo" effect from the sun. Leading lines and composition are right on. As the background plays into part of this shot, would you have considered shooting at f/8 to bring more of the surrounding sharp?

Very good Brent, the composition is right there !

Very nice shot at the right moment for the position of the couple and their shadows, the texture of the pavement bricks nicely leads the eye too.
This type of shot is one I have been pondering in the context of the challenge, I'm really not sure if this is truely low-key, or is it a variant, low-key with lots of high-lights, or is it high-key but with low-key elements (the deep shadows) ?? Ouch my head hurts....
