White Eye
by Collin Baxter

This is the first time I have used low key metering in anger I was pleasantly surprised with the seperation.
Although a crop that's it. That is all I got . No background etc. Usefull.
A theme like this works as I have now found a use for what I always thought a useless feature.

Not much I can add to the comments already! Excellent use of a non-standard metering mode to get an exceptional result!

Very nice CB. A perfect image and representation of low key. I like this.

Really good! I like very much the framing you have done, placing the bird near (but no "in") the center. A little distracting the colour noise in the shades, although. endika

Yes, spot metering is quite efficient sometimes, especially when you don't have a lot of time.

Nice pic this one !

Really rare and special birding shot, best I have seen in long time. Like everything about it.

Wow, this is excellent! The eye is like a target; it sure focuses attention. Mesmerizing, really. I love the effect of this stare from out of the deep shadows.

Very distinctive when compared to all of the "other" bird shots. Love the fine detail of the feathers and the catch light in the eye. I like it!
