Brenda, I was hoping someone would notice. I was attracted to the flowers by the way the frayed edges and obvious weave visible in the petals celebrated artificiality, so I thought, why not give them a try? The cloth feels a bit rough to be silk and the stems and leaves are plastic, but they are very realistic.

Brent, thanks much. I noticed the top of the flower beneath was a bit distracting, but left it in because the shape echoes the shape of the out of focus flower in the background, tying the foreground to the background.

Beautiful expression of the texture of silk - a nice strong compostion. The image would be a bit clearer without the white under the main flower - the white OOF flowers in the background really make the image.

Flower made of silk and a good one, almost like real. It doesn't mater. Dof is nice and picture fits the theme.

The tiny frayed threads add an interesting detail here. I bet these look very real from any distance at all. I like the way the focus softens as we move outward from the pistil at the flower's center.
