having looked at the colour one I prefer the impact of the b&w

Frank,
Thanks for the comment. A lot of my recent images tend to the dark side. The color version of this, uncropped, is posted in a "short" thread on the Forum. Something about an albatross. ;-)
Milo,
Thanks. No DR issues for me but I cheated and used the E-330 on this and its DR is almost as good as the E-1.

Great composition draws me in warp speed to the distance. Do you also have DR issues like some others? :-)
Obvious not.

This is a great composition Bill. I think it would improve if the train and foreground were just a little lighter (it looks a little 'blocked out' if you know what I mean.

Marc,
Thanks... I'd guess you saw that thread... ;-)

Rich,
Thank you for that comment. Comments such as yours make my efforts, somewhat, worthwhile. I'm flattered.

Definitely prefer the B&W version. Much more striking imo.

Bill, you have the ability to turn the mundane image into a piece of art.
duncan 17-Sep-2007 19:07
are you showing off that kit lens again Bill? A well constructed image but I can't help wondering what the colour image looked like!
Guest 16-Sep-2007 21:09
Bill I love this shot, although for me the frame intrudes too much.
Kevin.
