I've been attempting to capture something like this for 2 years now. More abstract and texture than representative - closer, but still not there yet tho, and to think i've left the 50mm f2 languish in my cupboard all this time. For the first time ever, i left my 50-200 at home when i went to the 'corner' and used the 50mm with the 1.4tc for this, and silkypix 3.0 and the extra sharpening facility to develop the raw. Perhaps focusmagic could have done the same?

I feel just like Brent, (thanks for saying what I just couldn't seem to put into words!) Amazing detail again! What lens is it you use in these shots? I think I want one.

Good grief. I just find it hard to believe the level of detail - the shading of each skin cell is phenomenal. Makes you want to reach out and touch his skin to see what it really feels like :-) Pretty darn cool!
