I too like the toning on this B&W - adds a bit to the atmosphere. You caught the feeling of tavern very well - a flash would have completely destroyed the picture. Really well done, once again!

I think the crop makes it feel like you are on his side of the bar. Dark and blurry always make for good tavern photos but I swear it was sharp as a tack when I first viewed it! ;-)
