Shadow juggling by Michael Meissner

This was taken for the 31st Olympus Talk Forum challenge (pairs) with an Olympus C-2100UZ camera on October 23rd, 2004. Before getting into digital photography I went through a juggling stage, though I never progressed past 3 objects.

Olympus C-2100UZ
f/2.8, ISO 100, 1/30 sec, 7.0mm, manual mode, SHQ, cloudy, matrix metering full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Mike, Now you have me envious - I never could juggle, much less with a remote being triggered from the other hand. If you crop a bit past the top of lower ball shadow of the the upper 2 the picture works quite well too (perferctly clear - hehehe) - though it is fine the way it is. brent

Yes, I didn't get the framing just right, but I didn't notice it until I had taken down the background I was photographing against. I took a lot of shots to get one with both balls in the shot (I was using the RM-1 remote control and the camera would fire some time later).

Nice. I like the shadow echoing.
That straight shadow at the top is a bit of a puzzler: it seems the image would be better without it, but if you block it out, the composition loses weight.
Flick.
