I love shooting into the sun, when the tension between light and shadow is greatest. For me it works best with simple lenses, like the three element lens in my Olympus Stylus Infinity or the single element lens of a Brownie, where flare is minimal. When you can do it right with a modern lens though, the image can be fantastic, like this one.
That is true, what Michael said, but when the sun is low and the clouds are so nice it can work, it's just those midday shots with the lime green grass and white skies I object too. ha! You keep shooting them Michael, because sometimes it works very nicely!
