Good idea here, to find a pattern of Nature normally hidden from view in the heartwood. Maybe return in February, lay an arrow across the stump, and have yourself a valentine, from the heart. :~]

I too like all the shades of November. It wouldn't be November in England without the dampness either. I'm just amazed at how green that stump is. It looks as if it were spray painted. I just like looking at all the leaves, a lot of variety in colors and shapes. Nice shot Michael.

so much resirculation taking place nowadays. Nature takes and nature gives. And it is so beatuiful when the countryside is covered with the rainbow's colours. (Not so nice when it makes pavements slipperi on the other hand). And in a short time the colours will fade and leave everthing brown or gray until spring.
