sacred to the memory - brenda

The Jewish community in Yarmouth, NS, is much smaller than it once was. Its tiny cemetery is tucked away in the back of a much larger one, where the casual visitor might well overlook it entirely. Here rest generations of citizens who helped to make their town a vibrant and memorable place.

Nice touch. Lots of these places seem to be hidden away.

Like many places (physical and spiritual) the jewish community has helped to lift the whole area around it. I am glad for your pride Brenda.

Who knows if we'll even have or use cemetaries years from now. Already, I think a lot of people are choosing to get cremated instead. I know that's what would be fine with me. Then the kids can spread them where they want or put them in an Urn in a wall thing at a cemetary. I like your photo with the lady pausing for awhile to remember someone from her life.
