The River Tyne in the North East of England, gone are the coal staiths, gone are the ship building and repair yards, gone are the steel works, gone all the heavy industry. The river is cleaner these days and different cargos come and go. At one time the Tyne was the biggest exporter of coal in the UK, these days coal is imported. Lots of changes along the river front with residential housing and greater access for members of the public.
