It is wonderful how the stages of life are worked out, isn't it? Even let her know that eventually the great step in our development is to sit for most of the day :-)

This little girl is a remarkable subject; her eyes and expression are beyond priceless. The raised hands suggest she has achieved stability, but isn't always able to sustain it. The chair is the perfect counterpoint to her energy, held in stasis.

Michael, thanks for the comments, and yes, she is our winner for sure! Our first grandaughter. She gets a photoshoot each month, hence the 10 month sticker on her dress. May be the most photographed child in America! At least my full hard drive would say so.

You could have a winner here, well I am sure she is your winner

Thanks Shirley. I like the other one better as well. When I put it in, I mistakenly thought the challenge was how do YOU feel, then it dawned on me it was how does IT feel. I didn't think the other one was in keeping with the challenge. I remembered this picture, because she startled herself by letting go of the chair. She's 10 months old and only just now exploring walking. Half a second later she grabbed for the chair.

This is cute, I like your title. I will be honest, I liked that b&w one a bit more. I just got a kick out of her admiring herself in the mirror. Either way, she has a lot of expression in her face and you do a great job catching it.
