Ahh, I thought I recognised those stark brown mountains :) I drove through that area a few times many many years ago!

isolated was the first thought, although the road does not look too bad,,definitely, I would bring water along before venturing into this area

Wow. Talk about rugged!! Are these peaks volcanic? This is a challenging and dramatic landscape.
