Geese Getting Touched by the Sun-Shirley
by Shirley Haden

I don't think I could live anywhere without these wonderful amazing birds. I know some people hate them, but they just never took the time to understand them. They are faithful wonderful creatures. I really do love them; they are my rainbow in the sky.

Caught the light just perfect - looks like they are just gliding in for a landing (the butt just a bit down and matched wings).

These are they kind I like to see, peaceful and beautiful in flight. Not the angry, hissing, wing beating bugger that chased me while I was bicycling yesterday! ;)

I like this photo a lot, from the first time I saw it. Its something with a 3D-feel I get from looking at it. I think.

I just think of them as mulchers. lol Or grass compacters, easy in and easy out. Just think of their poop as globs of recycled grass. HA! We recorded a papa goose getting right in front of my truck hissing and carrying on. He ran in front of the truck on the dirt road for quite some time before being satisfied that we were just passing through. Silly guy.

the only thing about geese that people don't like is goose Crap,,, today, I saw the protective parents as I walked along the pond with the rather large goslings, I was hissed at but not attacked,, yesterday in Westfield NJ,, traffic stopped as the parent led their brood across a major commuter street, people did not run them over,, , if we could invent a goose poop, disnigrater,, we would be set, and up in the air like your pics, fantastic, as a kid I always look forward to hearing them overhead, only two times a year, the trouble now they are overexposed,, they are everywhere,
