I also like this one a lot Daniel. I'd love to see NZ's nature one day.

Opposed to Brenda the water to me looks very uninviting as it has the same color as water under the Glaziers :-)

Very nice Daniel, I love the colours and the scale.

lake Pukaki is the largest of three roughly parallel alpine lakes running north-south along the northern edge of the Mackenzie Basin on New Zealand's South Island. The others are Lakes Tekapo and Ohau. All three lakes were created when the terminal moraines of receding glaciers blocked their respective valleys, forming moraine-dammed lakes.

I love the colors and deep sense of isolation. where is this lake?

thanks for the comments. first time out with the e-1 and first time posting here.

the water is coloured by 'rock flour' rock which has been very finely ground up by glacial action. it remains suspended in the water, which is how you get the blue colours.

This one is my favorite of the 2. The water just really adds to the over all scene. Very lovely blue sky!

I love the colour of the water; it looks very inviting and contrasts well with the starkness of the slopes.
