Now, this was a perfectly good shot hahaha, that I purposely tried to make look like it was taken a long time ago. I hope it suits the theme alright? I posted the original color version in originals

The details of those feathers just pop. This is such a fine shot, Shirley! The bird's personality is caught beautifully. He's a biggie!!

he looks very healthy and this is a good time of the year for turkeys.
nice angle too I hope you did not have to get in the dirt to capture this

Great stuff, I like how you have him framed by the fence.
The angle of the legs makes it look a little as if he posing for you, strutting his stuff!

I have no idea how old this fellow is, but he might be a lucky guy since he lives in an area where he might not get hunted. He lives on the edge of a state park, right near the entry. He has a harem of about a dozen ladies and I haven't ever seen a turkey around that is his size so he's safe with the girls too!

Well done Shirley. I guess though that old Tom won't get much older than next Thanksgiving...

Gotta watch those Toms. A friend was face to face w one, then w/o warning the bird drop-kicked him!
Nicely done, perfectly framed by the fence and grass.

Your idea was fine and you done it well. It sure looks like very old photo.

You achieved it Shirley, it seems a photo taken in the time of the Far West pioneers!
I love these Tommies when they does their parade: they look like an XVIII century's gentleman posing for a portrait. endika
