Gotta love them clouds! They really cause that spire to ascend!

Fascinating shot! It could be a spacecraft, prepared for blastoff. A futuristic lighthouse. An observation tower. Any of a number of possibilities. The strong composition and bold lines really make it for me, against the boiling softness of the cloud cover.

The lightning rod. It's like this probe is stirring up the couldron of gasseous mix. Very nice.

I'm waiting for the thunderbolt. Very alive and dramatic.

the clouds appear to emanate from the base of the tower giving it a big source of power. and the contrast of the ephemeral and the constant makes a very strong image

Great conversion Shirley. It almost has an infrared look to it. I love the perspective...reaching up into a sea of clouds
