Pete, I'm probably replying too late for you to read this but, I really struggled with my entries here. The nun shot was on the top of my finalists list. I think when I entered the shots for the "Best" gallery I musta been feeling animalie. :o) Thank you for remembering my nuns on wheels. It was quite a blast seeing them!

Super-sharp, wonderful colours and a great pose! Alistair

I like the warm Kodachrome-like colors, Shirley (with the advantage that it would have been hard getting this picture back in the day with ISO 25 or 64). Off-task but my favorite picture of yours from 2008 is your nuns on wheels. I got a reissue of Robert Franks "The Americans" for Christmas and your picture fits that style with some added whimsy.

Good idea Miro, I'll give it a try! Oh and thanks about the e-mail, reply is on its way. Ha!

Agree with others and a suggestion if I may. A slight dodging in PS, between beak and head of the male to pop it up from the background. BTW, few days ago a mail was sent to you. Did you received it?

A nice pair, razor sharp and good exposure.

Fabulous Oly colors. I see the ice has melted. Excellent! Happy New Year Shirley! Can't wait what you have in store for us next year.

Beautiful shot Shirley. you might even say it is a real ducky shot:)
the colors are just right for my taste, that green head is just fabulous.

These two seem intent on something out of frame to the right.
This is a great catch as its very rare to see them standing like this, usually they are in the water and you don't get to see those bright orange legs.
