Nice one mark, excllent choice of background colour brings out the yellows and browns of the flower and the compostion and choice of focus point is spot on too.

I quite like it! I think you could sharpen the center stamen a tad more in Photoshop or use Neat Image to smooth out the entire photo and set the sharpening up while getting rid of any noise and I think it's beautiful. I really love this color against the navy background. It set the flower off really nicely. I like that the only part in focus is the single stamen.

Come on ! With live view you can get a much better focus than this. Good idea, i like the square crop, but much too soft for my taste. get a tripod ! Marc
