Late evening light - catman

This is an old Smoky mountain home-stead house that has been restored for the public to see and for photographers to love. It is the main house and the out buildings look pretty much the same. Needless to say it was rather primitive living in the seventeen hundreds

Hello - I would not mind calling it home. Must be a bit dreary with no windows? I really love the soft blueness of the twilite.

That would be adrenalin, I always mess certain words up and that is one of them. LOL

Oh my goodness Richard! Yellow Jackets! I'm deathly afraid of wasps of all kind, my brother nearly died from yellow jacket stings. He has to carry adrenilyn with him when he rides motorcycle now. His throat swelled shut on him. This is a very dear photo indeed. I guess you could say it is for sure framed by the forest. (it has a door frame too and I want to go in it!)

Last year I stopped here about the same time of evening to takes some wonderful light pictures but I stepped on a yellow jacket nest and was stung more than 100 times. Needles to say, I got no pictures that day and none for several days there after. So this picture means a lot to me. Thank. you all for your nice comments.

Wow, this is so HillBillyish. I'm expecting Jed Clampett to step out with his shotgun and his hounddog not far bahind. What a nice find. With the surrounding scenery, this would be a great place to visit for a couple of days. I love this.

This is a terrific shot - the textures are so interesting and the POV, from quite low, works really well. I like the shadow trunk that frames this at right and the greenery that does the same job elsewhere.

Makes me want to wander into this scene and explore.

I really like this soft light. The tones and textures of the wooden boards on the shack are great.
