When the forecast promised acceptable weather we drove to the Termas de Chillán and climbed Volcán Chillán. This was our laziest tour as we used the lift and from there it was only about an hour to the Summit. There we coughed in a mix of clouds and the volcanic smoke plume. We never saw the entire mountain, only small glimpses through the fast moving clouds. The skiing back down was good and plenty.
Als die Vorhersage brauchbares Wetter versprach fuhren wir nach Termas de Chillán und bestiegen Volcán Chillán. Das war unsere einfachste Tour da wir den Lift verwendeten und von dort war es nur ungefähr eine Stunde zum Gipfel. Dort husteten wir in einer Mischung aus Wolken und Rauch. Den ganzen Berg sahen wir nie, nur kleine Ausschnitte zwischen den schnell ziehenden Wolken. Die Abfahrt war schön und sehr lang.
