Summit day

This is the day. We start at 4:45 from Camp Colera. Armin sets the usual slow pace that works well at altitude. When we reach almost 22,000ft we desperately are looking for sun as both Sepp and Günther have very cold feet. We have a long rest until they warm up. When I reach the summit at 12:00 noon I am completely alone. Günther comes a few minutes later and Sepp and Armin follow soon. We have the summit for ourselves for at least 30 min and are at the summit for more than 1:30 hrs. The descent is tedious and we reconsider our earlier plan to descend further and stay another night at Camp Colera. We are all tired, eat Junin's dinner and rehydrate. We all are in our sleeping bags soon. Dies ist der große Tag. Wir starten um 04:45 Uhr von Camp Colera. Armin diktiert das übliche langsame Tempo das gut funktioniert in dieser Höhe. Wenn wir 6650m erreichen suchen wir dringend Sonne als Sepp und Günther sehr kalte Füße haben. Wir machen eine lange Rast bis sie aufzuwärmen. Als ich um 12:00 Uhr den Gipfel erreiche bin Ich ganz alleine. Günther kommt ein paar Minuten später und Sepp und Armin folgen bald. Wir haben den Gipfel für mindestens 30 Minuten für uns alleine und bleiben fuer mehr als 1:30 Std. Der Abstieg ist langweilig und wir überdenken unseren früheren Plan tiefer als Camp Colera abzusteigen und bleiben eine weitere Nacht auf 6000m. Wir sind alle müde, essen Junin's Nudelgericht und rehydrieren. Bald sid wir alle in unseren Schlafsäcken.
