| The Treecreeper L 12,5-14cm (4.9-5.5") breeds in dense dark woodland often with some needleleaf trees. The Treecreeper discretely climbs up the tree trunk before flying down to start on the next tree. It has a speckled brown plumage which gives excellent camouflage but the white abdomen is often disclosing. It is recognised by the down-curved bill, but it is a bit shorter than the Short-toed Treecreeper, and it has a whiter abdomen and flanks, wider white eyebrows, and a tacked wing bar. The back claw is also longer. |
