The Goldfinch L 12-13,5cm (4.7-5.3") breeds in farmland, deciduous and mixed groves, plantations and orchards. Nesting in tree crowns. Characterised by the pronounced red forehead, white chins and black nape, coal black wings with wide yellow wing bands, white rump and abdomen, beige back, and the black tail with white spots. The bill is bone white and very long and acute. |
