The problem was that I had run the coper through the upper rectangular hole - and the problem with that was, again, copper against steel - bad for the copper. So, we had to take it all apart so we could put plastic grommets on the lower, round hole and run the copper through that. It still isn't put together, but that won't take too, too long.
