Rock Wren - Mississippi's First

Today, Oct. 15, 2006, Gene and Shannon Knight were looking for gulls at Enid Lake, in Yalobusha County MS, and ran up on this little gem. The bird was found at the same location, Cossar State Park, where the famed Prairie Falcon hung out a few years back. This is a first for Mississippi.

In Arkansas, Charles Mills located a Rock Wren on the dam at Millwood Lake around the same time today. His bird may be the same one that stayed at that location last year.

Now Tennessee needs one!!
