Burton and Elmer V. McCollum Hall is the largest residence hall at the University of Kansas. It opened in 1965. The hall has 10 stories and three wings in a Y-shaped configuration. Elmer discovered vitamins A and D; Burton became a geophysicist and helped pioneer the use of seismography to drill for oil. Of course here you can see my daughter, the reason for the visit.
