Fraser Hall sits on the highest spot on campus. Because of its height (seven stories) and position, the native stone building can be seen from several miles outside Lawrence. The hall opened in 1967, replacing old Fraser, which was demolished. The building is named for John Fraser, second chancellor. Sociology, psychology, American studies, and anthropology are among the subjects taught here.
