The 4 red-shouldered hawk chicks at Arlington were scheduled for banding by Raptors Inc.
Jeff Hays did the climbing and retrieving, and Melinda Simon attached the bands, and made some measurements along with the weigh-in.
The age of the chicks varied from approximately 20 to 28 days.
Their weight varied from about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds, though the actual weight was recorded in grams.
