A View From The Ice Fields Parkway

There was a significant variety of rugged landscape views from the Ice Filed Parkway. I remember how windy and bitter cold it was at this pullout but still worth taking time to photograph. I suspected that at some point there had been some type of mining done at this location.

Seeing is believing. You've captured the incredible wonder of nature. Th upper half and lower half of the same mountain can be so different: one is grey, and one is brown, one has horizontal patterns, one has vertical, one is rock, and one is sandstone.....marvelous contrast. ~VVVVV~

Very well seen - yes. the hills in front look quite different from the rugged mountains in the back. (V)

Another grand landscape even if the foreground is a response to disturbance.

Effective capture of this rugged landscape. I love it. You also get a good sense of the scale of things from the size of the vehicles (I think!) at the bottom of the picture.
