The small pockets of snow seen on these mountains survived since the previous winter but were waiting be joined by the coming winter snows. I can only image what this scene would look like after a heavy winter snow. This image is another aerial capture from a chartered flight (for photography) my son Paul and I took during this trip. NOTE: I plan to be concentrating on photography for the next two weeks and so I will be taking a two week vacation from posting on pbase. I try to take time at least once a year where photography is my total priority. This will also be the first chance I have had to really use my Canon 5D Mark llll (more than a few occasional shots) which replaced my well used Canon 5D Mark II. I guess I will have to join the "mirrorless club" the next time I purchase a camera body.
