This image was captured on a recent visit to the North Carolina Zoo. I was not as close and personal as it looks in the image due to using my Canon 100-400 IS ll USM lens. The area where the alligators were located, was heavily shaded and I felt very lucky to get this capture since this was the only alligator that really had any sunlight on it.
