Pileated Woodpecker

Found this guy in my front yard. Grabbed the D200, 70-200VR and TC17E and managed a couple of shots. Tried to set up a 500mm lens for a tighter shot but he didn't stick around. I included a couple of shots because this is the first one I've ever seen.

always the way.. never enough time to switch out a lens.. been there done that.. still trying to find one of these round here.
