DSCN_115944.jpg

One of these two images has 3 Nikon L37C filters stacked on top of each other, as illustrated. Which one of these two images is horribly degraded?

Nikon D200 ,Nikkor 35mm f/1.4 Ai-S
1/800s f/5.6 at 35.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

The cloud in 44 disappeared in 45. My guess 44 is with the filters. The coating on Nikon filters helps to enhance the image. I run a similar test yesterday on D90 through my bay window (it was a sunset scene). The glare is clearly visible without filter as well as with a cheap Crystal Optics UV filter. The best clarity came from Nikon NC filter. I did not test my L37C filter. I do not expect any detectable difference. Very nice article.
