Some sample shots of my paid model. He works for peanuts. Well... in this case sunflower seeds.

Two images at F/8 and two at F/11, as indicated in the EXIF. Each image includes a full frame, as shot, and a 100% crop.

Given the difficulties of focusing within a quite narrow DOF, I would draw no conclusions of relative image quality based on aperture.
