I think there is a stereotype of a "Surfer Dude" that folks imagine when they think about the sport and its lifestyle. My experience in photographing the sport and its athletes for years now is there is no one phenotype. They come in all ages, shapes and sizes. They range from school kids to working professionals. They all share the love of the sport and the ocean, however, and many ride their entire lives.
