The Green Flash is an atmospheric phenomenon where as the sun sinks into the water at the very last instant there will be a flash of green light. Conditions have to be just right for it to occur. While it is not altogether rare, it is not at all commonplace either, so it is special when it occurs. Unfortunately for his couple it didn't happen this night, but they still enjoyed a wonderful sunset together.
