I like to create abstracts from natural scenes. One of my favorite subjects is the bark of trees, in this case a colorful Eucalyptus growing in the San Diego Botanic Garden. I use my macro lens to make s detailed image of a small section of the trunk that I think will make an interesting composition, then turn and enhance the file in post processing. The end result is an Abstract done in collaboration between me and Mother Nature.
