Enter the Hunter

I have broad interests in photography, yet it is inevitable that I end up shooting the same subject multiple times. The challenge (read fun) then comes in trying to get frames that are unique in some way so that the shots don't all look the same. I have photographed the Great Blue Heron several times focusing on its amazing color and markings, but here I am presenting it as the ominous, apex predator that it is in the environment of the San Elijo Lagoon.

An extraordinary image of this predator. The size, drama associated to this bird is new to me. It is a learning experience. "Big vote"
