The marine layer was in when I headed to the beach around sunset, so I pretty much expected monochrome colors. Then I spotted this surfboard that had floated to shore and noticed how its fin matched the translucent wave that was breaking in the distance. I loved those subtle hints of color on an otherwise gray day.
