"With the demise of the Triumph TR4 engine, in 1968 Morgan turned to the 3.5-liter Rover V-8 to power many of its traditional roadsters. ... This [Plus 8] was acquired from the original owner in 2000. ...
"First offered in 2001, the Aero 8 was a radical departure for the traditional Morgan company. Gone was the ladder frame and wood-framed body panels, replaced by an aluminum alloy frame with alloy body panels. Although the design harks back to the first four-wheel Morgans, it is also much more sleek and modern in appearance. Power for this 'modern' Morgan is provided by a BMW V-8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission."
