Lepiota tomentella Daneshill LNR Notts 2019-10-12

We have found this species once before at Sherwood Forest in 2009. It resembles other smallish Lepiotas with scaly brown caps and pink-brown stems. Distinguishing features are spore size, spore shape (bullet-shaped), clavate cystidia on gills and a small bulb at stem base. A Red Data List species with just 70 other national records.
