Hebeloma populinum Thoresby Estate 2019-11-9

With only 8 national records and one previous Notts record (Gamston Wood), this is a rare fungus and is on the Red Data List. It grows with birch. It is distinguished from similar Hebelomas by its strongly dextrinoid (turning red-brown) large spores and cylindric to narrowly clavate cystidia.
