I can find nothing to support this comment. A Google search using that name finds nothing, so perhaps there is a spelling error?

The closest specimen I could find to this photo was in my main reference Orquideas en Inkaterra at Machu Picchu and that was how I named it. If anyone can supply evidence fo a different name then I'll happily change the name on the photo. I certainly don't claim to be an expert.

This is not a Maxillaria, it is Sudamerycaste [Lycaste] fulvescens and is quite common at Macchu Picchu
