21st April 2005, vertigo!

Perched on the edge of the cliff stands Dunnottar Castle.
My mum and dad went home today,
and I showed them a shortcut back.
Then I had a walk around up here.
There was nobody else about,
I was all alone,
just me and thousands of seabirds.

Nice and quiet, I bet. Just the wind and the birds and the sea.... perhaps I could move there....

You are all about castles.
This one has quite a view, I'd take it.

Gorgeous shots, all of them. The water is such a beautiful color.

That's what I call isolated, stunning but oh boy, I'm not going close to that window...you look, tell me how it is while I stay plastered to this back wall :>)

Very dramatic. It's nice to have the place to yourself. We had that luxury at some Roman ruins in Italy once - it was a case of mad dogs and Englishmen... everyone else left for lunch and we just wandered around alone (sunburnt!).

What a beautiful scene. And the kind of day one could enjoy.

Quite a wild and beautiful setting.

some lovely shots of your visit to the castle. i like the wonky horizon in this one - it really does give a sense that you were staggering back from the precipice with vertigo!

Incredible view. I would imagine that you enjoyed that solitude up there with a view like that. Very beautiful.
