Panoramic images of Australia

Panoramas taken using a beta gigapan robot, see http://www.gigapan.org. The images on pbase are normal sized images about 400 X 1800 pixels. However, on the page with each image there is a link to a viewer on the gigapan.org website that will allow you to explore the image by zooming in and scrolling. The images on gigapan.org range from about 100 megapixels to over a gigapixel in size, but the viewer works very nicely and won't overload your internet connection.

Great pics, Ross. I just bought one of these gadgets and I'm waiting for the lights on my battery charger to turn green. Then I can take of pano of the incessant rain here in Alsace.
