In order of appearence in the gallery, the animals are: ring-necked duck, black crowned night heron, American alligator, sandhill crane, black tailed prairie dog, sandhill crane, Canadian lynx, sandhill crane, spectacled bear. All these animals are native to North America except the spectacled bears, which are the only species of bear found in South America.

Thanks Jason. I was feeling bad about the soft nature of some of them but that's life.

To answer your question, I wish I knew what kind of animals they are. :) I'm not being flip but I was so busy taking pictures I didn't look at the information plaques. This is basically the Queens Zoo so I could have written it down. I was basically just trying to test the camera & lens to see if I wanted to keep them.

I'll be going back to the Zoo and I'll see if I can update the info.

You have some really great shots the only thing is I wish you would have named your pics so I know what kind of animals they are.Where were they taken at?
